This year, Lamont Books is thrilled to throw our support behind the Fight Cancer Foundation’s “Footy Colours Day”. This is a cause very close to our hearts. As some of you may know, Paul (our Operations Manager) has a rare blood disease. As a result of Paul’s journey, we came into contact with the brilliant work done by the Fight Cancer Foundation.

Footy Colours Day is a national community fundraising event that helps kids with cancer keep up with school. When a child is diagnosed with cancer, they face, on average, more than 6 months away from their school and school friends. Fight Cancer Foundation’s education support programs, which are funded through Footy Colours Day, help these kids keep up with school while they receive and recover from life-saving cancer treatment.

Your school community can make a difference by hosting a Footy Colours Day event this September. From enjoying a sausage sizzle to playing footy games or activities, or simply wearing your colours for a donation - your event can take any shape you like! Footy Colours Day is a fun and easy way to bring your school community together and teach your students the importance of giving back.

Simply pick a date in September, visit ‘Team Lamont Books’ at  and click "JOIN TEAM” at the top left hand side to register.

To support this great cause, for every school that joins the Lamont Books team and participates in Footy Colours Day, Lamont will donate $100 to the Fight Cancer Foundation, up to a maximum of $25,000.
