When Cordelia's father Prospero and his ship, the Jolly Bonnet, are lost at sea during a mission to collect hat ingredients, Cordelia is determined to find him. But someone seems to be trying to bring back an ancient rivalry between the Maker families, and Cordelia needs to find out why. Together with her friend Goose, who belongs to the Bootmaker family, they must solve this mystery and fast!
This is a wonderful story, perfect for readers who love magic, mystery and adventure. Cordelia and Goose are great characters that you cannot help but adore, and with a supporting cast of loving family and friends, as well as a few evil villains, this book races along at a cracking pace.
