Mina has become the hero of her own story. Literally.
When Mina Lee woke up on Saturday morning for SAT prep, she did NOT expect to-
1. Nearly be fried by a superhero who turned out to be a supervillain.
2. Come face to face with Jin, the handsome boy of her dreams.
3. Discover a conspiracy involving the evil corporation Merco that she created.
And it's all happening in her fictional world. Mina is trapped in the story she created. Now it's up to her to save everyone. Even if it means losing Jin forever.

Mina is Korean-American aspiring artist, just like her wonderful mother, who died years before. But her father demands more from her, he wants Mina to become a lawyer like he is.
Mina develops a web-comic, but her friends tell her that it is boring and needs a love interest, probably one that has at least three people involved! So she decides to spice it up, drawing her star as the dimpled Jin, who was her best friend until he died when only six.
Then kapow! Mina suddenly finds herself in an alternate reality, living inside her story as the main character. All the characters that she has drawn are here in this world, and the powers and suggestions for their lives that she has written for them are coming true. Luckily, as the creator she has superpowers - and although she can no longer control the story itself she can try to protect those within it.
Worse still is that she has fallen in love with Jin. But to protect all of the characters and give them their old lives back, Mina must return to her own universe...
A terrific novel full of first love, grief and learning to take control of your own life, together with battling an evil corporation and superheroes, this will be loved by readers aged 13 to 17.
