Review

When Sarah’s family move to a new town, Sarah is nervous about starting at a new school. She misses the beach, surfing, and her best friend Caity.

But then her first day buddy Hanh takes her to a footy clinic to meet Katie Brennan and two other players from the Western Bulldogs, and Sarah learns that there is a girls footy team in town called The Flyers. Hanh asks Sarah if she would like to come to training so Sarah agrees to give it a go. Will she make the team or not?

This is the perfect story for all sports mad girls, especially those who love footy.

Wonderful characters and strong themes of friendship and having a go are woven throughout the book.

The series is sure to be a winner with girls in Year 3 and up.
