A fast-paced adventure series perfect for readers 8+, from award-winning author Sue Whiting.
Pearly Woe is a worrier.
But there is no room for worries when you are trying to prove yourself. Yet this is little comfort to Adventurologist-in-training, Pearly Woe, as she motors down the mighty Mekong River on another adventure. Pearly, Pig and the entire Woe family are destined for the kingdom of Anachak, where they plan to search for the lost city of Mu Savan.
A jungle adventure! What could go wrong?
Everything. Of course!
Following on from Pearly and Pig's adventure to Antarctica (which was a March 2022 Primary Fiction title), our wonderful adventurologists are back. This can certainly be read as a stand alone title, although I am sure those that read Book 1 will be delighted that they are back for a second adventure!
Pearly has the remarkable ability to be able to communicate with animals. Her pet Pig is never far from her side, and they have a beautiful relationship.
Pearly's family (who are all adventurologists) head to the jungle village of Ban Noa, which holds a special place in the heart of Pearly's Grandpa, to try and find the lost city of Mu Savan.
But things are not all as they seem, and the villagers are scared. Something is not right about the way the King's brother is acting, and what is going on with the rumblings coming from the jungle? When Pearly and Pig find themselves separated from her family, they must use all their adventuring and animal communication skills to try to find her family and save the day.
This is a wonderful story about overcoming self-doubt, trusting your instincts, and the importance of family. Readers aged 8 - 12 will love this story.
