Following on from Book 1 where we were introduced to Macca and her team, the Seaport Strikers, Macca now finds herself caught in a dilemma.
They meet a new girl Sofia, who has recently moved from Argentina, and not only does she love football, but she is going to start at their school too. Macca has good feeling about this!
Macca is doing all she can to improve her goal keeping skills, including training with her brother, and honing her goal keeping skills playing other sports, without even realising it. And with the bet she made with Austin hanging over her head, she needs all the practice she can get...
Sofia is a super-talented footballer, and when she agrees to join the Seaport Strikers, Macca and are her friends are very excited! Well, most of them anyway - Sofia is a gun striker, and Ryder, who plays that position, is not happy at all. Tensions start to rise, and it looks like Sofia might not join the Strikers after all. But with a game against the Titans coming up, can Macca pull the team and her friends together?
This is a fabulous new series that is about sport, and the commitment and dedication that it takes to play well, but it is also about friendship and teamwork. It will be enjoyed by all those in middle primary and up.
