Fur, Tip and Nug live in a chipped, china teapot at the bottom of the junkyard. They are messy, bossy and never eat their vegetables. With the help of a burping toad, a sleeping giant and a monstrous caterpillar, the junkyard fairies can find a way to fix just about anything.
Join them as they navigate life at the bottom of the heap, making rusty magic and turning trash into treasure.
Illustrated by Lauren O’Hara, this is a magical new series from the author of Magnolia Moon.
Meet the Junkyard Fairies - Fur, Tip and Nug - three fairies who live in teapot in the junkyard, near their friend Burp the Burrowing Toad, who lives in a bathtub.
They spend their days hunting for food and treasures in the Food Forest and the Finding Fields, but things are becoming increasingly hard to find.
The fairies all have very distinct personalities and character traits, with Fur being the oldest and the most responsible, but also the one who worries the most. Her little brother, Tip, sees life in a far more positive way, and little Nug just goes along with life, learning new words.
Their life in the junkyard is not always easy, but it is their home. When things start to change, they must all pull together as they realise what is really important in life.
This is a delightful read, and Edwina Wyatt has a way of entwining everyday situations and feelings, into a magical and hopeful story. It will be best enjoyed by those in middle primary.
