Book Of The Month Sf

The inspiring story of a young man whose wisdom and strength can teach us all how to live life to the fullest, no matter what it throws at us.

Sixteen-year-old Alex Noble was a high school rugby star with a promising sporting career ahead of him when an on-field injury left him fighting for his life in the ICU. Following a four-day coma and a diagnosis of C4 quadriplegia, Alex’s first words to his brother Zac were, ‘If I fight, you fight.’ These words became a war cry as Alex’s friends, family and community rallied around him, watching in awe as he fought to regain control over his body and defy his diagnosis.

From learning to breathe and move again to travelling the world, starting his own business, and even going skydiving, Alex’s story is about the power of mastering your own mind, finding happiness and taking risks to achieve your goals – no matter how out of reach they may seem. Full of warmth, humour and insight, this is a book that will teach you principles to live your life by, written by a young man who has put them into practice.

I Fight, You Fight is so much more than an inspiring memoir – it’s a philosophy for finding happiness and reaching your true potential.

Review

The amazing and inspirational story of a young Australian hero told in his own words.

Alex Noble was a terrific 16-year-old rugby player, he represented his state, and was totally focused on getting to the top. He was good at all sports, and always had a heap of good mates. The sort of guy that the world seems to revolve around at high school.

Then a rugby accident put him in ICU with quadriplegia. Life pretty much over, yeah? Not for one minute. Alex’s story since the accident is truly remarkable.

Determined to be the best version of himself that is possible, and with inner strength and true discipline, Alex has achieved so much. He can talk, he can use his arms, he completed high school with a 96.7 ATAR, is studying law and commerce at university, regularly appears as an inspirational speaker and is now a published author. And even with all of that I have still left out many of his extraordinary achievements ... and he is not finished. He may never walk again, but he spends twenty minutes every morning and night performing squats in the hope that with muscle memory and constant work one day he just might.

Alex is a young inspirational Australian hero whose story needs to be shared with all people, but particularly with young Australian readers. Full of uplifting quotes, this amazing story will inspire and be cherished by all readers aged 14 and older.
