Etta and Almanac do not know each other, but both receive mysterious letters offering them a job at a very big and mostly deserted mansion. But when they both arrive, they realise that there is a mystery to be solved and it involves a spell that is keeping them trapped.
This is an intriguing novel that students who love a mystery, a few ghosts, and magic will thoroughly enjoy. Etta and Almanac are great characters, who each have their own strengths and weaknesses - and if they are going to survive, then they will need to work together and use all their intelligence and determination!
A perfect book for all students in upper primary.
