Archibald Templeton is looking to revive his family’s fallen empire - with the help of his loyal monkey butlers. But things quickly spiral out of control when he creates Frankenstein’s Monkey. Now, he must deal with a chaotic, rampaging creation, while his trusty apes spring into action to save the day. Meanwhile, on the weird side of town, Monty, a mischievous monkey trapped in a run-down animal rescue, is plotting his escape. His plan is working when his dream of freedom is suddenly dashed. Templeton Manor was once a grand home, but now it is anything but! The mansion belonging to Archibald Templeton is looked after by his faithful monkey butler, Fossil, as well as his helpers - Scooter, No-Brainer, Sonar and Brainer.
But Archibald has created a new helper – a robot monkey that he starts with a key. This will be his way of making the Templeton family great again! But his new creation doesn’t last long, and is packed away, never to be see of again. Or is he?
On the other side of town, an ex-circus monkey called Monty finds himself at Steve’s Animal Rescue Joint, a not very nice place to be. But Monty has come up with an escape plan. He is a proud performer, and is going to stand up for himself and the other animals. But when his plan is suddenly derailed, and he finds himself at Templeton Manor, the fun really begins!
Can Monty, with the help of his friend Lucy, convince the others that it is time to escape and see the trees again? And with Fossil having lived at Templeton Manor for so long is he ready to leave?
