When little Unico and Psyche become friends, they created a special bond and power that inspired humans. However, Venus, the goddess of love and beauty became jealous, and she sets out to ensure that Unico forgets who he is. But the West Wind takes pity on him and disobeys Venus...
Awakening in a strange place, little Unico is befriended by a cat called Chloe. But with Venus suspecting that the West Wind has not done as she was asked, danger is lurking for Unico.
When Chloe is abandoned, and Unico follows her, Chloe decides that she needs to find a witch to live with, not a human, and they believe that the one they now call Granny is just that. When Chloe realises that Unico can do magic, she begs her to turn her into a human, so that she can help Granny.
But there is a strange man lurking, a vicious hunter called Byron, who is out to destroy the animals of the forest. Can Unico come up with a plan to save them all, or will the power of Venus prevail?
This is a great mythical and magical manga story, that will be best suited to those in upper primary.
